1.5 hours X 4 weeks; recommended 5 person minimum
Develop ways to calm the body and mind in this four-session small group practice focused on self-care, stress management, awareness and meditation practices. The mission of the class is to enable participants to maintain and restore vitality, health and a general sense of well-being. This workshop is physically suitable for all ages, and for anyone looking to counter the negative effects of stress, anxiety, depression, and/or the rapid pace of life on body, mind and spirit.
The Mindful Way: Coming to our Senses
1 hour X 4 weeks; recommended 5 person minimum; prerequisite RR&R strongly encouraged
Meditation has been shown to increase happiness, reduce stress and improve cardiovascular and immune health: even slow aging! In this four-week class, we will explore a variety of common sense ways to establish a lasting meditation practice, and to strengthen our ability to remain peaceful, centered, compassionate and self-aware. As a group, participants will have ample opportunity to experience a variety of meditation “techniques," discovering one or more that are uniquely their own.
Discovering Ayurvedic Balance

Tired or unable to to lose weight? Suffering from headaches, rashes, digestive issues or just feeling stuck? Ayurveda's 5000+ year old wisdom - more relevant than ever today - tell us its because we've gotten out of balance.
In this "Ayurveda 101", you'll gain insight into your innate constitution and your current state, and how you can begin to partner with your unique mind/body to foster optimum health and vitality. Items for discussion include the Ayurvedic clock, customizing your yoga, diet, herbs and lifestyle practices.

The benefits of meditation on physical and mental health are enviable: less anxiety, more productivity, more creativity, more effectiveness, better memory, reduced stress, greater access to joyful emotions like gratitude and connection, even expanded grey matter in the hippocampus and frontal areas of the brain. Get your questions answered, and get comfortable with the various ways to establish a practice (in as little as 5 minutes a day) that is enjoyable, restorative and unique to your mind-body constitution.
